Hey!  Congratulations!!! 

My missionary is serving in the Texas Houston South English speaking mission.  He's doing quite well.  Letting him go and going about my life without him has been the hardest thing I've ever done.  But, I've grown a lot on my own, and so has he. =] 

Don't be afraid to let her go and serve the Lord... You can always always pray for her,  and she will be blessed for your service.  I've had so many amazing experiences since my missionary left, and I know I've been given some of them because he's out there serving.  She'll be protected. =]

oh!  a guy from my home ward is serving in Honduras, so maybe you'll run into him. =]  His name is Elder Brown.

PS... it really helps that my missionary and I write each other every week.  It makes it a lot easier, and its been a great spiritual boost....however, I think how often you write to each other is unique to every relationship.  Writing once a week works for Scott and I, but it might not work for you and the person you love.
